A member of the Kaos Krew motorcycle club is facing a number of drug-related charges after he was pulled over in a traffic stop in Spruce Grove on Wednesday evening.

Cpl. Colette Zazulak of the Spruce Grove RCMP says the Edmonton biker club member, Peter Goodsell Jr, 29, along with 31-year old Amanda Lindstrom were pulled over by police during the early evening hours on April 9.

Zazulak says “Police noted a strong odor of fresh marihuana emanating from the vehicle, and arrested both occupants for possession of a controlled substance”.

During a search of the vehicle, police allegedly found three ounces of pot along with 30 bags of cocaine and a large knife.

Inside each bag of cocaine, there was between 35 and 40 grams of the drug.

Goodsell Jr and Lindstrom have been charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.

Zazulak says Goodsell is known as a member of the Kaos Krew motorcycle club which is an outlaw motorcycle gang with associations to the Hells Angels.  He was wearing his club vest at the time of his arrest.

Goodsell Jr and Lindstrom were released on $2,000 bail with conditions not to possess firearms, or to possess or consume any illegal, non-prescription drugs.

The charges against the accused have not been proven in a court of law.

The two are scheduled to appear in Stony Plain provincial court on Wednesday, April 30 at 9:30 a.m.
