A man has been arrested in the US over the murder of an alleged bikie associate on Queensland's Gold Coast.
Max Waller, 28, who Queensland police have previously said had links to the banned Bandidos motorcycle club, died from multiple stab wounds last June.
The Hope Island resident was found on the steps of a Broadbeach unit complex.
A 22-year-old member of the Mongols motorcycle gang has been detained in the US over his murder.
Queensland detectives and officers from the US Marshall Service arrested the man in California over the weekend.
He appeared in a US court overnight and is expected to be extradited to Queensland.
More details are due to be released at a media conference in Brisbane later this afternoon.
