Loggers in Clark County found the body of Robert Lee Huggins on July 1, 2015

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Prosecutors will fight to keep three accused murder suspects with ties to the Gypsy Joker motorcycle gang locked up.

The hearing for Mark Leroy Dencklau, Tiler Evan Pribbernow and Earl Deverle Fisher is scheduled to go all day Monday. It will continue into Tuesday as well.

Prosecutors are expected to call at least three witnesses, including the lead homicide detective assigned to the case.

In Oregon, when a defendant is charged with murder, aggravated murder or treason, release shall be denied when “the proof is evident or the presumption strong that the person is guilty.”

The investigation into the Gypsy Jokers and their alleged connection to the death of 56-year-old Robert Lee Huggins began back in July 2015.

Loggers were on a rural road in Clark County and made the discovery.

It took detectives several weeks to release Huggins name to the public.

In April 2016, detectives with the Portland Police Bureau Homicide Detail booked four people into jail in connection with Huggins death.

So far, a total of 6 people have been charged in the case. The two other suspects not charged with murder, Ronald Charles Thompson and Kendra Castle, are charged with hindering prosecution or tampering with evidence.

Thompson and Castle both remain out of custody.

Malachi Watkins remains in custody in Washington State. He has yet to be arraigned on the grand jury indictment that charges him with murder.

According to police, Huggins was once affiliated with the outlaw motorcycle gang, the Gypsy Jokers, and that his death is directly linked to that affiliation.

When police announced the arrest of the suspects in the case, Huggins family expressed relief that there is some resolution in this case.

Days after the arrests were made multiple swat teams executed two search warrants in connection to the homicide.

The warrants were served at a residence at 3536 Northeast Garfield Avenue and an adjoining building at 3535 Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard — otherwise known as the Gypsy Joker Motorcycle Club clubhouse.

The bail hearing is set before Multnomah County Circuit Court Judge Gregory F. Silver.
