Finks OMCG charged with impersonating inspector in Tamworth pub

Local police have charged a member of the Finks outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) with allegedly impersonating an inspector from the NSW Office of Liquor and Gaming.

Police allege on July 8, a man went to a hotel in South Tamworth, claiming to be visiting for a hotel inspection.

Police will allege in court the 28-year-old man told staff he was an inspector from the Office of Liquor and Gaming.

During the incident, the man allegedly requested to view hotel documentation and made a number of comments about signage and patrons.

After checks with relevant authorities, police were alerted to the incident a short time later and launched an investigation.

Following extensive inquiries, a 28-year-old man was arrested at Tamworth Police Station on Wednesday afternoon.

Police have confirmed the man is a member of the Finks OMCG. He was charged with impersonating an inspector and was granted conditional bail to front Tamworth Local Court on September 12
