As part of inquiries into violent conflicts between OMCGs across NSW, police from the Criminal Groups Squad’s Strike Force Raptor and the Drug and Firearms Squad’s Chemical Operations Unit established Strike Force Creswell to investigate the importation, manufacture, and supply of prohibited drugs.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, March 13 and 14, 2018, Strike Force Creswell officers executed a number of search warrants at Kellyville Ridge and Beaumont Hills and seized various prohibited drugs, illegal firearms, and assorted precursors.

Strike force officers arrested a 35-year-old man during the operation. He was charged with drug and firearms offences and remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, strike force officers executed a search warrant at a property outside of Tarago, near Goulburn, on Thursday, March 15.

Officers located a clandestine laboratory, which was dismantled, and items consistent with the manufacture of methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA) were seized for forensic examination.

Following further investigations, the man was arrested at Goulburn Correctional Centre on Tuesday.

He was charged with knowingly take part in the manufacture of prohibited drugs (large commercial quantity), possess apparatus with intent to manufacture prohibited drug, and direct criminal group.

The man, who is a senior member of the Finks OMCG, remains in custody and is next due to appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday, September 12.
