CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland police say a late Saturday shooting that left one dead and 17 injured was prompted by a fight during an anniversary party at a motorcycle clubhouse.

The Omens Motorcycle Club hosted the party Saturday night at the clubhouse, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said Sunday evening.

The building where the gathering took place, on East 93rd Street between Reno and Way avenues, is the clubhouse for another motorcycle club, the Cleveland Lyfers, according to a Facebook business page for the club. Members of other local and national motorcycle clubs, like the Zulus and the Wheels of Soul, were also at the party, Ciaccia said.

A total of 18 people were shot, including one man who was killed, late Saturday at a party involving motorcycle clubs at a private club on East 93rd Street near Way Avenue in Cleveland, police said.
