Brockville residents charged with drug, weapons offences

Police have charged two Brockville residents with numerous drug and weapons offences following a joint effort between Brockville Police Services, Ontario Provincial Police and the provincial biker enforcement unit.

The 41-year-old woman and 31-year-old man — the latter identified as a member of the Vagos motorcycle club — were arrested shortly before 2 p.m. on Tuesday on Jefferson Drive.

Police said an investigation revealed that the pair had been using a residence on Amy Street and a hotel on Jefferson Drive to sell illicit drugs.

Police recovered more than $8,000 in cocaine, almost $6,000 in crystal methamphetamine, $2,750 in hydromorphone pills, $620 in crack cocaine and $86 in psilocybin, as well as cash, cellphones, two replica long guns, homemade weapons with razors inserted, a prohibited knife, as well as scales, a safe and packing materials.

Each were charged with possession of cocaine, crack, crystal methamphetamine, hydromorphone and psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking, as well as unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon.

The man was additionally charged with two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon, contrary to a prohibition order.

The pair have been held in custody.
