CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — Two people are dead and a third person is injured after a shooting in the New Canaan community early Saturday morning, according to the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 1:30 a.m., the sheriff’s office said it received a call about a possible shooting and responded to the address along with officers from the Arab Police Department.
Once on the scene, authorities said all three victims were found and the surviving victim was taken to a regional hospital.
After an investigation, the sheriff’s office said the shooting was determined to be the result of an altercation.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing and no further details were provided.
