Another three people have been charged with attempted murder after a bikie was allegedly shot in an act of revenge in Melbourne’s northeast.
Two men, aged 28 and 29, and a 30-year-old woman have been charged with a raft of offences including attempted murder over their alleged involvement in last year’s shooting of Rocco Curra.
The Mongols bikie, then 31, was allegedly shot four times in the head and chest while sitting in a parked car in a residential Bulleen street on August 1, 2019.
He survived after one of the bullets from his brain was removed during emergency surgery.
Echo Taskforce detective charged 11 people over the shooting in January including two men, aged 24 and 26, accused of opening fire on Mr Curra.
At a bail hearing for the 26-year-old in April, the Melbourne Magistrates Court was told the shooting was allegedly an act of retribution by Finks bikies.
It followed an incident at a Fountain Gate bar in July where a man wearing a Mongols gang jumper damaged a television.
On Tuesday, officers raided properties at Narre Warren South, Rosebud, Brooklyn and Hampton Park, arresting four people.
The 28-year-old Narre Warren South man, 29-year-old Hampton Park man and 30-year-old Brooklyn woman were later slapped with charges, while a 40-year-old man from Rosebud was released pending further enquiries.
