A 48-year-old Helensvale Mongols member was charged with assault of a police officer after a search of a Gold Coast property, after an incident on April 23 when police attended his residence to issue an official consorting notice.

He is due to reappear at the Southport Magistrates Court on June 1.

Detectives also charged a 27-year-old Biggera Waters man and Mongols associate and a 31-year-old Southport man and Mongols member with habitual consorting after searching properties at Labrador and Biggera Waters.

Both men have been remanded in custody to appear at Southport Magistrates Court at a later date.

A 32-year-old Mongols member also presented himself to Southport Police Station where he was arrested and charged for a breach of bail.

Detective Senior Sergeant Troy Lehmann of Taskforce Maxima said police will continue to pursue outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) members on the Gold Coast who consort as a deterrent from establishing, maintaining or expanding criminal networks.
