Four men have been arrested after a raid on a Christchurch property believed to be linked to a notorious motorcycle gang.

Police were called to a property on Tanner St in Woolston about 3pm on Tuesday.

Stuff understands the property is linked to the Tribesmen MC gang.

Members of the public said they could see several police officers, the Armed Offenders Squad (AOS) and a dog squad at the property during that time.

A police spokeswoman confirmed police raided the property and arrested four men, but could not say how many officers attended and whether the AOS or a dog squad were present.

The arrests included a 29-year-old and 42-year-old on breaching bail conditions, a 24-year-old on a warrant to arrest for failing to appear in court, and a 37-year-old for possession of cannabis.

The first three are set to appear in the Christchurch District Court on Wednesday, while the fourth will appear on Monday.
