Two men charged with murder of Napier Outlaws Motorcycle Club member Peter Lui

Two men have been charged with murder following the death of 63-year-old Napier man Peter Lui.

Lui was assaulted on March 29 outside Napier Outlaws Motorcycle Club headquarters, where he was a member.  He died of his injuries the same day. 

A spokesperson for police confirmed two men, a 22-year-old and a 29-year-old, will appear in Napier District Court via audio-visual link on Wednesday charged with Lui’s murder.

The 29-year-old had previously been charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on May 10.  He appeared in Hastings District Court the same day.

Police confirmed the 22-year-old was also charged on June 16 with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, aggravated robbery and assault with a weapon.
