ACT 'Nomads boss' pleads not guilty to drugs, weapons charges
A Canberra man who police say is ACT boss of the Nomads is set to fight drugs and weapons charges after a gun and body armour were allegedly seized from his home last month.
Mohammed Nchouki, 36, was arrested after police raided his Calwell house and car on June 22.
Officers found a self-loading semi-automatic pistol, three ballistic vests, a Taser-like device, a spring loaded flick knife and drugs, ACT Policing said in a statement.
He was charged with nine offences that included unauthorised possession of a banned firearm, possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit and possessing ammunition.
He was also charged with possessing a prohibited substance and a drug of dependence.
Nchouki entered not guilty pleas to all charges when he faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday.
He did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody.
The case returns to court on September 29.
